Terms and Conditions for Relocation Services

Thank you for choosing Discounted Moving LLC: STATE MOVERS. These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Discounted Moving LLC: STATE MOVERS (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the client (“Client” or “you”) for relocation services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Services Provided
Discounted Moving LLC: STATE MOVERS provides relocation services for residential and commercial properties, including loading, unloading, packing, and transporting items. These services are available in Florida, Texas, New York, Georgia, and Illinois. Additional or customized services may be available upon request.
2. Estimates and Quotes
- Non-Binding Estimates: Any estimate provided before the move is non-binding and subject to adjustment based on actual work completed, time taken, and any special service requests.
- Binding Quotes: A final binding quote may be provided after an on-site assessment or detailed inventory list. All binding quotes are guaranteed if no changes to the scope of service are requested.
3. Booking and Scheduling
- Booking Confirmation: All bookings are confirmed once the deposit is received. We require at least 48 hours’ notice for standard moves.
- Rescheduling: Clients may reschedule their moving date with at least 48 hours’ notice without incurring additional fees. Rescheduling within 48 hours may incur a fee.
- Last-Minute Bookings: We accommodate last-minute moves based on availability. Additional fees may apply.
4. Payment Terms
- Deposits: A deposit may be required to secure the booking. This deposit is refundable if the cancellation policy is adhered to.
- Payment Due Date: Payment in full is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
- Accepted Payment Methods: We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers.
- Late Fees: Outstanding balances not settled within 7 days of service completion may incur a late fee of 2% per day.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit the deposit or incur a cancellation fee.
- Refunds: Refunds for overpayments, deposits, or unfulfilled services are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
6. Client Responsibilities
- Preparation: The Client is responsible for preparing items for transport unless they have opted for full packing services.
- Inventory: Clients must provide an accurate and complete inventory of all items to be moved.
- Valuables: We recommend that clients move valuable, personal, or sensitive items (such as jewelry, passports, or documents) themselves. The Company is not liable for loss or damage of valuables that are not explicitly disclosed.
7. Prohibited Items
For safety reasons, certain items are not permitted for transport, including but not limited to:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., gasoline, propane tanks, explosives)
- Firearms and ammunition
- Illegal substances
- Perishable food items (on long-distance moves)
Please ensure all items comply with these regulations. Discounted Moving LLC: STATE MOVERS reserves the right to refuse transport of any prohibited items.
8. Damage and Liability
- Item Protection: Discounted Moving LLC: STATE MOVERS takes precautions to handle items with care and protect them during transport.
- Claims Process: Clients must report any damage within 48 hours of delivery. Claims filed after this period may not be accepted.
- Repair or Replacement: In the event of damage caused by our team, we may offer repair, replacement, or reimbursement, up to a maximum of $0.60 per pound per item unless additional insurance is purchased.
- Insurance: Standard liability coverage is provided. Additional insurance can be purchased for high-value items.
9. Limitations of Liability
Discounted Moving LLC: STATE MOVERS is not liable for:
- Damage to items that are improperly packed by the Client
- Natural wear and tear, environmental factors (e.g., humidity or temperature), or inherent defects in items
- Delays due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen events
- Loss or damage of items left unattended before or after transport
10. Privacy Policy
We respect client privacy and handle all data in accordance with our Privacy Policy:
- Personal Information: Client data, including contact information and service details, is securely stored and used solely for the purpose of providing services.
- Third-Party Disclosure: We do not share personal information with third parties without explicit consent unless required by law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which the service is provided. Any disputes arising out of these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in that state.
12. Modifications to Terms and Conditions
Discounted Moving LLC: STATE MOVERS reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients with scheduled moves will be notified of any significant changes.
